Today, cloud services are incredibly growing and in high demand. Advocates of the cloud are increasing by the day, and many IT companies or organizations and other industry verticals have also started using Office 365 as the Microsoft Exchange Server tends to be complex and requires technical experts to handle or operate. Because of this, users use O365 instead of Exchange Server. This article guides users and provides a solution to gradually migrate Exchange 2010 mailboxes to Office 365 using a hybrid migration solution.
Users are moving their Exchange 2010 mailboxes because Microsoft has now ended support for Exchange Server 2010 on October 13, 2020. The other reason is that the cost of servers and hardware (heating, backup, cooling, RAID, server, hard drive, etc.) is expensive. Licensing, security such as – SSL certificate, maintenance and updating is higher than MS Office 365.
In O365, users can buy as many licenses as they want. It is flexible, users can scale up or down the Office 365 service anytime, anywhere. Due to all these outstanding features, users can look for a solution to move mailboxes from Exchange 2010 to Office 365.
Additionally, users can use the hybrid deployment solution that allows users to migrate on-premises Exchange 2010 database mailboxes or vice versa. When moving the mailboxes, users must use the migration batches to complete the request to move the remote mailbox. It helps them move the existing Exchange database mailboxes instead of creating new ones and importing the user information.
Note:You must configure the hybrid deployment between Exchange on-premises and Exchange online to migrate Exchange database mailboxes.
